Malabar Kesari

Ingredients 

Semolina - 1 cup
Coconut ( cut into thin small slices ) - 3 tsp
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Sugar- 11/2 cups
Cardamom powder - a pinch
Ghee - as eeded
Kesari powder - a pinch

Method

1. Melt 3 tsp of ghee in a frying pan.
2. Add coconut pieces, fry till red and set aside.
3. Add semolina,fry till smell arises and remove frying pan form the stove.
4. Boil 11/2 cups of water in a pan.
5. When water starts boiling, add semolina, coconut milk, cover the pan with a lid and cook.
6. When semolina is cooked , add kesari powder, sugar, ghee and stir well.
7. When sugar dissolves and contents thicken, add coconut slices, mix well and switch off the stove.
